Lovely building but no restaurant

The location is wonderful and the place is beautifully refurbished. A beautifully maintained ancient building! The owners are kind and friendly and very informal and casual. This is a pet friendly place, perfect for cat lovers!

Real France with super hosts

Janine & Jean-Louis were wonderful, gentle hosts who made us very welcome. Ask to look at the photos of their renovation - amazing job! All materials of the period style have been used. When you know what the house(s) was like (a ruin!) you will appreciate the fabulous job they have done. We had table d’hotes and asked if we could have vegetarian or chicken in advance. Janine prepared the most delicious red squash soup, Chicken Gaston Gerard (a Dijon speciality) and a rhubarb dessert - all using home grown produce. A kir apero was most welcome and a pichet of red wine included. Excellent meal, very good value. The house is very remote but if you like walking, take the 3km walk to Rochefort to see the chateaux.

Fijne plek voor rustmoment op doorreis

Hartelijke ontvangst ..het heerlijke diner terwijl we heel onverwacht besloten om 18.30 hier te logeren en er een uur laten aankwamen. De gastvrouw schudde zo een 3 gangen diner uit haar mouw .. incl heerlijke wijn .. Erg fijne lieve en gezellige gastvrouw en gastheer .. voelde heel warm en eerlijk .. Mooie kamer en badkamer. Mooi uitzicht . Mooie route er naar toe .. fijn doorreis plekje .. fijne gezamenlijke ruimte met openhaard .

The only minor suggestion we have to make is that it would be appreciated if the bathroom towels could be larger - to bring them into line with other accommodation we have experienced in France. However, it was a real privilege to stay at La Brevonniere and we loved its ambience!

Accueil très sympathique. Nos hôtes nous reçoivent avec simplicité, efficacité, convivialité et "pas de chichi". La table du petit déjeuner est très agréable. Nos hôtes semblent avoir un passé riche d'experiences, d'actions et d'annecdotes.On a l'impression de rendre visite à une famille lointaine. On se sent très bien à la Brevonnière. Merci beaucoup !

Séjour parfait dans la nature

Tout! Le village, la maison au bord d une petite rivière, très nature, au calme. Les environs et les lieux à visiter (Alésia, abbaye de Fontenay...). Les hôtes sont très accueillants et chaleureux. Prennent le temps qu il faut pour échanger. Le petit déjeuner avec du bon pain..la chambre fraîche, agréable, propre, avec une très jolie vue. Nous reviendrons et en hiver, ça doit être très agréable aussi!

This is a wonderful gem nestled in Beaulieu. The hosts are beautiful people in a beautiful place.

That I couldn't stay longer. I was only there for three days. It is well worth staying longer if you have the time. It's a place of tranquillity where you can really disconnect from the hustle and bustle of daily life.

Très bon séjour au doux son du Brévon…

Excellent accueil dans cette maison d'hôte de caractère, très bien rénovée. Les hôtes sont aux petits soins et l'emplacement idéal pour découvrir le pays Châtillonnais. Les repas proposés le soir sont particulièrement savoureux!

2 nuits fort agréables: cadre reposant, maison conviviale, 2 hotes adorables <3 , petit déjeuner sympathique. On recommande vivement ! Nous avons fait de belles rencontres autour du café. Et les maîtres des lieu sont plein de petites anecdotes rigolotes qui mettront le smile de bon matin et pour toute la journée !

A 10mn de l’abbaye des Choues.
